Refinement and Final Post

Disseminating the findings on our topic was a success. My group and I worked hard to create a fake news article about a new policy regarding our topic of the importance of education regarding birthing positions. We printed out the news article and posted it at the front of the classroom as we discussed our findings with our peers. Our audience responded well to our presentation and complimented our creativity with the news article and its various creative subtitles. Audience members commented on our implementation saying it would be effective to hand out pamphlets with information on our topic. We did not get much feedback besides our audience clapping, active listening, and complementing our creativity with the actual poster. I learned a lot from doing this team project and will continue to use this information in my future nursing career. Understanding how to effectively communicate with a team of healthcare members is crucial to become successful in the nursing world. I feel as though this project has enhance my communication and collaboration skills. Learning how to prioritize assignments and coordinate schedules were other skills that were practiced during this team project. Being able to confidently disseminate research to a group of people is an amazing skill to acquire in order to become a nursing leader someday. I feel as though this project has taught me a lot about patient advocacy and evidence-based research and all the ways you can share this information with others. I discovered that I am a responsible team member through doing this project. I always ask for help when I need it, update my partners on any changes made to my schedule or the project, and am always reassuring them of our past successes. I feel as though I am supportive, flexible, and reliable team member.
